Bayer is seeking to turn around the fortunes of its Consumer Health business with a new leadership team, a streamlined product portfolio, accelerated innovation and a modernised marketing and sales strategy.
Read all about the new turnaround plan in this NEWS EXTRA publication from OTCToolbox.
Heiko Schipper, worldwide head of Bayer Consumer Health, says the new leadership team "knows where the issues are" and has "plans to fix them".
Schipper points out that Bayer Consumer Health’s new leadership team includes people with a proven track record in OTC as well as people with a background in consumer packaged goods. The team knows how to build world-class brands and drive innovation, he remarks.
Commenting on plans to accelerate growth-focused innovation, Schipper says “rebuilding bigger momentum” will be “very high on my own agenda”. The ambition for 2022, he notes, is to double the growth contribution from innovation from 15% of growth at the business to 30%.
When it comes to modernised marketing and sales, Schipper says Bayer Consumer Health will rebuild brand fundamentals, accelerate digital and step up e-commerce.
