Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J’s) OTC sales in the US increased by almost a third in the second quarter of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the US-based company’s international OTC sales dropped by 5.0% on an operational basis.

Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J’s) OTC sales in the US increased by more than a third in the first quarter of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Chairman and chief executive officer Alex Gorsky said the company had increased and refocused production of Tylenol (acetaminophen).

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has announced plans to “rationalise” the product portfolio of its Consumer division. The news came as the division reported worldwide sales up by 2.1% on an operational basis in the fourth quarter of 2019.
