Personalised vitamin company Vous Vitamin has added Pfizer veteran Lynda Sun Lee to its board of advisers.

Lee spent 15 years as worldwide business development director for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare including its vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS) brands.

Vous Vitamin said Lee had led the acquisitions of Emergen-C in the US and the Treerly brand in China, as well as developing strategic partnerships to support the Centrum and Caltrate brands.

Before joining Pfizer in 2001, she worked for The Clorox Company and Procter & Gamble.

Romy Block, co-founder of Vous Vitamin, said Lee’s “extensive transactional and international experience in the nutritional supplement space will be an asset in both developing and executing our roadmap moving forward”.

Identifying new channels

Commenting on her appointment, Lee said: "My goal as an advisory board member will be to identify new channels that complement the company's business model and provide a path to building market share."

"With its individualised approach to dietary supplements as well as growing consumer interest in personalised nutrition,” Lee added, “Vous Vitamin is in an ideal position to pursue the kinds of strategic business development opportunities that have been my focus for the past 15 years.”

Vous Vitamin was founded in 2014 by endocrinologist Romy Block and internist Arielle Levitan.

The US-based firm says it is the only personalised vitamin company to supply all-in-one multivitamin blends rather than packs of multiple pills.

Vous Vitamin’s sales “nearly tripled” in 2020, according to the company.
