US FDA seeks changes for OTC loperamide

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is targeting OTC medicines containing loperamide as it seeks to curb abuse and misuse of opioid products. Manufacturers have been asked to change the way they label and package OTC products containing the antidiarrhoeal, and online retailers have been urged to stop bulk purchases.
