Unilever has recruited Amazon's Sunny Jain as president of its Beauty & Personal Care division and a member of the Unilever Leadership Executive.
Alan Jope, Unilever's chief executive officer, said Jain's experience, which covered both the consumer goods and online retail industries, was "unique".
Before joining Amazon in 2013, Jain spent more than 16 years at Procter & Gamble working in new business creation, marketing, sales and information technology.
At Amazon, Jain is head of the Core Consumables business with responsibility for the Grocery, Health & Personal Care, Beauty & Grooming, Luxury Beauty, Baby and Private Brands categories as well as the Pillpack subsidiary.
Jain, who joins Unilever in June 2019, noted the company's Beauty & Personal Care division had some of the world's most iconic brands including Dove, Axe, Lifebuoy and Lux.
Beauty & Personal Care is one of three division's at Unilever, together with Foods & Refreshment, and Home Care.
Unilever recently promoted Nitin Paranjpe, president of the Foods & Refreshment division, to chief operating officer.
