Roger Scarlett-Smith is taking up a permanent position at Stada Arzneimittel following six months as interim managing director of the company's Thornton & Ross business in the UK.
Scarlett-Smith – who spent three decades at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare – is now president of Stada UK with responsibility for a number of business areas including generics and OTC medicines.
When Scarlett-Smith joined Thornton & Ross in October 2018, the company said it would be for a "minimum period of six months" (click here to read the News story).
He retired from GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare in September 2016 after 32 years with the company.
At the time of his retirement, Scarlett-Smith was head of global categories. He had held a number of other senior positions at the Consumer Healthcare business, including president North America, president Europe, managing director for Australia and New Zealand, and general manager for the UK.
