Stada has hired Aidan Fry – one of the driving forces behind the creation of the Generics Bulletin newsletter – as director of external communications.
Prior to joining Stada, Fry was executive editor of Generics Bulletin, a leading business-to-business newsletter for the global generics, biosimilar and value-added medicines industries. Fry had led the editorial team at Generics Bulletin since it was founded in 2003.
Fry previously spent five years reporting on the global consumer healthcare industry as part of the editorial team at the OTC Bulletin newsletter.
Commenting on Fry’s appointment, Frank Staud, head of global communications at Stada, said Fry’s extensive knowledge of the company’s two core strategic pillars – generics and consumer healthcare – would ensure the company “effectively conveys to all stakeholders Stada’s mission of caring for people’s health as a trusted partner”.
Fry said Stada had consistently outperformed the market average. He highlighted Stada’s “recent flow of acquisition and business development activities, ranging from biosimilars through to attractive OTC brands”.
Stada recently announced that it was strengthening its consumer healthcare presence in the Asia-Pacific region by acquiring the FERN C product portfolio in the Philippines for an undisclosed sum. The deal follows a series of European acquisitions by Stada (click here to read the News story).
Deborah Wilkes – founder of OTCToolbox and co-founder of OTC Bulletin and Generics Bulletin – said Fry had a deep understanding of the generics and consumer healthcare markets worldwide.
