Sanofi has appointed Jean-Baptiste Chasseloup de Chatillon as executive vice president, chief financial officer with effect from 1 October 2018. Chasseloup de Chatillon will be a member of Sanofi's Executive Committee.
He will replace Jérôme Contamine, who is retiring on 30 September 2018 after nine years with the French pharmaceutical company.
Chasseloup de Chatillon most recently served as chief financial officer and executive vice president of the French car manufacturer PSA Groupe, which owns the Citroën, Opel, Peugeot and Vauxhall brands. He was a member of the Managing Board and Executive Committee.
Sanofi's chief executive officer Olivier Brandicourt said Chasseloup de Chatillon was an "experienced chief financial officer who has been part of the impressive turnaround of PSA Groupe".
