Sanofi close to signing asset swap as OTC slips

Sanofi's proposed asset swap with Boehringer Ingelheim is on track to be signed in mid-2016 and completed by the end of the year, according to chief executive officer Olivier Brandicourt. His comments came as Sanofi's Consumer Healthcare business recorded sales down by 3.1% at constant exchange rates in the first quarter of 2016, following a big drop in sales in Venezuela.
