Maxwellia has recruited a head of sales, Hofseth BioCare has recruited a Lonza executive and Colin Brown has joined Essential Pharma.
Maxwellia recruits head of sales
Switch specialist Maxwellia has recruited Tim Holmes to the newly-created position of head of sales.
Holmes most recently worked for skincare specialist Crawford Healthcare as commercial director. He has also worked for SSL International.
UK-based Maxwellia says it has three applications to switch medicines from prescription to non-prescription status under assessment by the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). It is one of the companies seeking to switch the progestogen-only pill from prescription-only to pharmacy status in the UK (click here to read the News story).
Hofseth BioCare recruits Lonza executive
Norway’s Hofseth BioCare has appointed Lonza’s Reto Renggli as vice-president of global sales for health ingredients.
Renggli spent almost 20 years at Lonza where his roles included head of sales and marketing for health ingredients.
Hofseth BioCare recently boosted its consumer healthcare expertise by hiring GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare’s Andy Gill and Johnson & Johnson’s Will Urban-Smith as vice-presidents within its Consumer Health division (click here to read the News story).
The company recently announced that it was working with brand innovation and marketing consultancy Tenet Partners to build a global brand for its range of salmon-based consumer healthcare products (click here to read the News story).
Colin Brown joins Essential Pharma
Essential Pharma has hired Colin Brown as chief operating officer.
Brown joins the UK-based generics company from consumer healthcare firm Mentholatum where he was head of research and quality development.
Before joining Mentholatum in 2005, he was an associate director at contract research organisation Quintiles.
