Hofseth BioCare (HBC) has hired Andy Gill and Will Urban-Smith, Amway has a new chief technology and platform officer, Beiersdorf has a new chief financial officer and Nutrition21 has recruited Elyse Lovett.
HBC hires Gill and Urban-Smith
Norwegian company HBC has hired GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare’s Andy Gill and Johnson & Johnson’s Will Urban-Smith as vice-presidents within its Consumer Health division.
Gill will join Hofseth BioCare in January 2021 from GSK Consumer Healthcare where he was sales director. He previously spent more than 18 years with Novartis Consumer Health.
Urban-Smith has spent more than 15 years with Johnson & Johnson, most recently as sales director. He will join Hofseth BioCare in February 2021.
Hofseth BioCare’s ingredients include CalGo calcium bone powder, CollaGo collagen peptide powder, OmeGo unrefined salmon oil, and ProGo salmon protein hydrolysate powder. The company also markets finished products in some countries.
Amway recruits from Estée Lauder
Direct-selling company Amway has recruited Ashish Khan as its new chief technology and platform officer.
Khan joins Amway from Estée Lauder Companies where he was global head of brand technology and enterprise architecture.
Amway said Khan would lead global teams in charge of “pioneering the development of easy, seamless shopping experiences for customers”, “driving Amway’s digital enterprise strategy and platform innovation” and “creating alliances with leading digital and social technology partners around the world”.
Khan reports to chief executive officer Milind Pant.
Beiersdorf has new finance head
Beiersdorf has appointed Colgate-Palmolive’s Astrid Hermann as chief financial officer with effect from 1 January 2021. She will be a member of the German skincare specialist’s Executive Board.
Hermann will take over from Dessi Temperley who is leaving Beiersdorf at the end of her three-year contract.
She joins Beiersdorf from Colgate-Palmolive where she was vice president of Finance North America. Hermann joined Colgate-Palmolive in 2004.
Stefan De Loecker, Beiersdorf’s chief executive officer, said Hermann’s “many years of experience in the consumer goods business and her in-depth knowledge of international markets give her a broad perspective of the financial sector”.
Nutrition21 recruits Lovett
US-based ingredients company Nutrition21 has hired Elyse Lovett as vice president of marketing.
Lovett joins Nutrition21 from Kyowa Hakko where she was senior marketing manager. She has also worked for AAK and Novartis in sales and marketing positions.
Nutrition21 said that over the past six years Lovett had taken an active role in dietary supplement organisations including the US Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) and the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).
