The US Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) has elected a new chair, Boiron has announced a change to its board and Angelini Pharma has made a promotion.
CHPA elects new chair
The US CHPA has elected Procter & Gamble’s (P&G’s) Paul Gama as the new chair of its board of directors.
Gama is president of P&G’s Personal Health Care business which houses the company’s OTC medicines, dietary supplements and consumer medical devices. Before joining P&G in 2017, he worked for a number of other consumer healthcare companies including Bayer, Novartis and RB.
He has been a member of the CHPA’s board of directors since 2018.
Gama takes over from Gary Downing, chief executive officer of Clarion Brands.
Christian Boiron steps down from board
French homeopathy specialist Boiron has announced that Christian Boiron has resigned from its board.
The company said Christian Boiron had expressed confidence in general manager Valérie Lorentz-Poinsot and the management team as well as the actions undertaken to ensure development of the company.
At the beginning of 2019, Christian Boiron stepped down as general manager of Boiron (click here to read the News story).
Angelini Pharma promotes Onnis
Angelini Pharma has promoted Enza Onnis to global pharma general counsel. She has been with the Italian company since 1994 and has been general counsel since 1996.
Onnis will remain part of Angelini Pharma’s executive leadership team, which she joined in April 2019, and will continue to report to chief executive officer Pierluigi Antonelli.
