PAGB hires GSK’s Vempalle for regulatory role

The Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB) has appointed GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare’s Nisha Vempalle as associate director of regulatory affairs.

Vempalle spent more than a decade with GSK, most recently as regulatory affairs manager at the Consumer Healthcare division. She is a qualified pharmacist.

At the PAGB, Vempalle will lead development and delivery of the consumer healthcare industry association’s regulatory strategy for medicines, medical devices and food supplements.

The PAGB said Vempalle’s “extensive experience” in consumer healthcare encompassed innovation, global brand expansion and prescription-to-OTC category switches.

Commenting on her new role, Vempalle said: “I am excited to be joining the PAGB in this new role at a time of unprecedented change and challenges in the industry, including COVID-19 and the European Union exit.”
