Orbital Research has hired Chris Bunniss as director of real world evidence (RWE) strategy and business with effect from 1 September 2020.
Bunniss has extensive experience of the global consumer healthcare industry, having worked for SSL International and Boots Healthcare International before setting up his own consultancy Bunniss Associates in 2012. His roles at SSL International included strategic acquisitions director, and group marketing and innovation director.
At Orbital Research, Bunniss will be responsible for driving strategy and business for the company’s digital RWE service, which he said held promise for pharmaceutical and OTC brands.
Orbital Research, which is a division of Orbital Global, says it is the “world’s only supplier of the RWE via digital and social media research methodology”.
Winner of OTCToolbox CHi Award
In 2019, the company won the OTCToolbox Consumer Healthcare Industry (CHi) Award for Regulatory Achievement of the Year for its work on digitally-sourced RWE (click here to read the News story).
One member of the judging panel for the CHi Award said the work was a “truly innovative initiative” which offered the “potential for the entire consumer healthcare industry to revitalise brands with claims that are evidence-based and meaningful for consumers”.
A second judge described the initiative as a “game changer, providing cost savings and increased speed-to-market”.
A third judge pointed out that Orbital Research was shifting RWE to a new digital and social-media based level, reflecting where people spend a significant part of their daily time.
