New Zealand recommends changes for codeine

New Zealand's Medicines Classification Committee (MCC) has recommended that the legal status of medicines containing codeine should be changed from 31 January 2020. Combination medicines should be reverse-switched to prescription status, says the MCC, while single-ingredient medicines should be made available without a prescription.
