New online marketplace seeks smaller brands is initially aimed at UK consumers but plans to target consumers in other parts of Europe and the Middle East from late 2019

A new online marketplace for health, beauty and wellbeing products claims to offer smaller companies and startups a "no risk route to market" in the UK., which officially launches in October 2018, focuses on six product types including "vitamins & supplements", "sports supplements", and "beauty & wellbeing".

The marketplace promises sellers there are "no set-up fees" and a "no sale, no fee policy".

Brands already on the marketplace include Saturo in the sports supplements section and A Glimpse of Beauty in the beauty & wellbeing section.

Small brands get lost on large websites is tackling the "issue of smaller brands being lost in much larger online retail websites". It aims to become the "number one destination for health conscious consumers".

"Our mission with is to offer a visible, proactive marketplace for the best startups and innovative brands in the health, beauty and wellbeing sector," said Jaspal Singh Nijjar, who developed the website with Dan Duggan.

A spokesperson for said the launch would be backed by a public relations campaign as well as marketing on social media and Google. was initially aimed at UK consumers, added the spokesperson, but would push into the rest of Europe and the Middle East in late 2019.
