Nature's Bounty adds Bayer's Kerrigan to team

The Nature's Bounty Co has recruited Bayer Consumer Health's Don Kerrigan as president, North America.

The US-based vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS) specialist said Kerrigan would "lead the company's marketing, sales and e-commerce strategies across key markets and channels".

Kerrigan was previously senior vice president, chief customer officer for US sales at Bayer Consumer Health. Nature's Bounty said he had led the transformation of the US sales organisation, including the creation of a fully integrated e-commerce team.

"Disciplined strategic thinker"

Paul Sturman, president and chief executive officer of Nature’s Bounty, said Kerrigan was a "decisive executive with deep cross-functional experience" and a "disciplined strategic thinker that leads by example".

Sturman is a former worldwide head of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, where Kerrigan spent more than a decade prior to joining Bayer Consumer Health.

Commenting on his appointment, Kerrigan said Nature’s Bounty had an "industry-leading portfolio of strong brands that are trusted and loved by consumers, and which compete in healthy, growing categories and segments".

Private-equity firm KKR took "majority control" of Nature's Bounty in 2017. The company was known as NBTY until November 2016.
