The business environment in the first quarter of 2014 proved difficult for many branded OTC players, according to the new OTC Results Comparisons Briefing just published by OTCToolbox. Several companies – including Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Merck KGaA, Novartis and Pfizer – highlighted the lower incidence of colds and flu compared with the first quarter of 2013.
