Finnish retailers Kesko and Oriola are closing the Hehku wellbeing chain, which operates 19 stores and an online shop in Finland.
The two companies said their Hehku joint venture had not reached its business and financial targets, and operations would end by Spring 2019.
Announcing the joint venture in March 2017, grocery chain Kesko and pharmaceutical distributor and retailer Oriola said they were joining forces to create a "completely new kind of store chain" in Finland. They added that the retail chain would specialise in "comprehensive wellbeing" (click here to read the News story).
The objective for the first phase of the project was to build a chain of 100 stores.
