Henfrey resigns as Blackmores' chief executive

Australian natural health specialist Blackmores is seeking a new chief executive officer following Richard Henfrey's resignation.

Blackmores said Henfrey would remain chief executive officer while the Board sought a replacement.

He was promoted to chief executive officer in August 2017 when Christine Holgate stepped down from the post after nine years (click here to read the News story).

Henfrey joined Blackmores in 2009 and spent three years as chief operating officer before he was promoted to chief executive officer. He had previously worked for the Australian telecommunications and media company Telstra Corporation and the UK-based communications company Energis.

Brent Wallace, chairman of Blackmores, said Henfrey had played a "pivotal role in the growth of Blackmores and in the industry of complementary medicine overall".

Blackmores reported sales up by 11% to AUD319 million (USD225 million) in the six months ended 31 December 2018 (click here to read the News story).
