Beiersdorf's chief executive officer resigns

Beiersdorf's chief executive officer Stefan Heidenreich is leaving the company.

The German skincare specialist said its Supervisory Board and Heidenreich had reached an "amicable agreement" that he would leave when his term ended on 31 December 2019 or earlier depending on when a successor was appointed.

Heidenreich joined Beiersdorf as chief executive officer in 2012.

Executive board member Stefan De Loecker has been appointed deputy chairman.

New chief financial officer

Beiersdorf recently appointed Dessi Temperley as its new chief financial officer and a member of the Executive Board with effect from 1 July 2018. She will replace Jesper Andersen.

Temperley is currently head of investor relations at Nestlé.

Beiersdorf's worldwide sales in the first quarter of 2018 were up by 6.5% on an organic basis. Growth as reported was 0.4% to EUR1.81 billion (USD2.09 billion) (click here to read the News story).
