Bayer has appointed Max Müller of DocMorris as head of public affairs Germany and EU with effect from 1 May 2020.
Müller is a member of the executive board and chief strategy officer at DocMorris. Before joining DocMorris in 2013, he worked for four years at the pharmaceutical wholesaler and retailer Celesio. He was also an adviser in Germany’s federal parliament, the Bundestag.
Switzerland's Zur Rose Group, which owns DocMorris, recently announced a number of senior management changes including Müller’s departure (click here to read the News story).
Müller will be based in Berlin and will report to Matthias Berninger, Bayer’s senior vice president for public affairs and sustainability.
Bayer said Stephan Schraff, who currently heads the Berlin Office for Public Affairs, would move to head of public affairs and sustainability in Brussels, Belgium. He will report to Müller.
Volker Koch-Achelpöhler, who currently heads the EU Office for Public Affairs in Brussels, will be responsible for public affairs and sustainability Crop Science for the EMEA region from 1 April 2020. He will be based in Brussels.
