Avicenna Pharmacy has acquired 34 Sheppards Pharmacy stores in the UK, expanding its pharmacy chain to 135 branches.
Avicenna said the acquired community pharmacies were located mainly in the South Wales Valleys with stores also in Pembrokeshire and around Bridgend.
The deal comes soon after UK-based Avicenna acquired the Dudley Taylor Pharmacies chain of 57 stores in the UK (click here to read the News story).

A family-owned business, Sheppards Pharmacy was founded in 1972 by Alan and Jean Sheppard.
