Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is proposing to reverse-switch all non-prescription medicines containing codeine to prescription status. The Australian Self-Medication Industry (ASMI) said the proposal, which affects products such as Nurofen Plus and Panadeine, was an example of "unnecessary over-regulation".
